How did you create the universe? And did it truly come from nothing or did it start from something before? OuO
-
Hey God, there's a lot of bad stuff in the world. War, famine, disease, corruption, all stuff you could very easily do away with. Seriously, what the f--- are you doing up there that is more important?
Also, what the f--- are you blowing all that money we send you on? You're an all powerful deity yet you can't manage your own finances? Really dude, what the f--- is up with that s---? -
If you love everybody you create, why do you give a lot of people birth defects, disorders or medical conditions that requires constant hospitalization? And agreeing with Tongue, what's up with all of the bad stuff going on?
-
^ that s--- ain't God's fault though
-
^ ditto
So many people blame God, but the blame is misplaced..... -
God vowed to not interfere with what happens on Earth
All the bad things happening is of human actions and has nothing whatsoever to with God
War is started by man, famine is because most countries are focused on improving military instead of improving food production, diseases are natural but some are intentionally or accidentally created by man, corruption has nothing whatsoever to do with God...
Good joke about the money, I think God is too busy building his MansionModerator -
But he's an all-powerful god, so he can stop these things with a blink of an eye.
And what you're saying about God not interfering with man and Earth? What about f---ing prayers?
God is an egocentrical douchebag that doesn't exist. We "blame" God because if he so called created us and if he's "watching" us he's suppose to "help" us. But no, he'll just watch starving children in Africa die and wars errupt and our world becomes much more corrupted and abused because we depend on prayers than taking action. God DOES NOT exist if he isn't doing anything. -
Why does bad things = no God? None of that makes any sense.
-
^ exactly.
God doesn't intervene because it's not needed. He lets us sin and wage wars and all that crap because he gave us a choice to follow him or not from the very beginning of man, and throughout history we have chosen to not follow Him. He fixes things people pray about that aren't our choice, like having a disease. Thats not our fault and has nothing to do with being evil or holy, so He fixes them when people believe in Him and actually ask. -
For the hundredth time.
All-powerful god. He can defy free will if he wants to because he's f---ING god. And isn't he suppose to be looking out for his "creations" or "children".
Yeah, God doesn't intervene because he doesn't exist. Simple. -
We are a fallen world. Meaning? The moment we disobeyed God, we were disconnected from Him. We no longer had a perfect Union with Him. There was nothing in our own power that could "bridge the gap". This is why God sent Jesus. Jesus equals the bridge that connects us to God again.
God cursed the ground for mans' sake, so that we would not have to pay the price for our actions -- so that we could have eternal life in a new and perfect world. He took our place, through Jesus. And when He died on that cross, He made salvation possible for all who believe in and follow Him.
This world is not easy. That is why Jesus said, to the rich man, to take up the cross and follow Him. The cross is burdensome, but it is worth the treasures that will be waiting for us in heaven. Eternal life being one of them. And guess what? With Jesus, the burden is made lighter. For he said, "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light."
If you do not know what a yoke is, look it up.
With Jesus, everything is easier. Not to say that you will be entirely without trials or sorrows or burdens, but I guarentee all of you that you cannot ever hope to find a better resting place than in Him.
Religion is not the key, it is the fruit that comes later. It is the Bible that brings you to Christ. The Bible contains the things He wants us to know.
The devil is the one who establishes the lies concerning God's character. Satan could care less if you believe in him or not. If you don't, it's to his advantage, for you will not care for warnings like the one I give right now.
These words that come out of your minds, "Why doesn't God do something? He must not exist," are the seeds of confusion and lies that Satan has planted in many peoples' minds.
How can you expect God to help you, if you do not believe in Him or want to follow Him? The answer is pretty self-explanatory. -
He gave us free will because He loves us, AP, it would be cruel to force us to do what He wants.
No, do you even give a s--- about the fact that the human body or the way the planet is or the way things are made beyond this tiny little mote of dust you live on are so complex that no "random occurrences" could ever make any of it? Have you EVER, once in yur entire life, considered THAT?
Pretty much that^ plus what Rhi said. -
I disagree about it being too complex to have happened randomly. Remember it took billions of years to get like this so we can't measure what is possible from the time we have in comparison.
-
If you've studied biology, you would realize that life is WAY too complex to have evolved in just a few billion years. Take a cell. This tiny little thing has an entire network of compartments, all working together to accomplish the duties of that one cell. And there are trillions of those in our bodies. Another example is DNA. DNA has to copy itself over and over in order to reproduce, and if it makes a single mistake, the results are very drastic. However, DNA manages to do this fairly accurately, only making a few mistakes every now and then. Plants are the same way. They carry out a bunch of different processes that are all extremely complex, and they do it right every time. This could not have just evolved by itself even if you had infinite time on your hands. It's like saying a watch just put itself together over billions of years. And the universe is much more complicated than a watch.
This is my opinion, I'm not forcing it on you.
