In the beginning everything moved away from the center. Everything expanded.
The universe is still expanding. However it won't expand forever. When it stops gravity will pull everything together, until there is only 1 lump of everything. This will then restart the cycle.
Find a flaw in my prediction >.> -
paigequizzy NewbieI think it will just end. After the rapture (whenever that will be) there will be no point to live, so everything will die.
-
However atoms need no reason to live.
-
Probably start over, I don't know.. I hate thinking about the universe because I can't comprehend how it can be infinite, it confuses my head when I'm not in the mood for it
-
paigequizzy NewbieYeah, I guess youre right... but if God created them, he might as well put an end to them whenever he feels like it. Heck, he might even restart them just for fun! Guess either theory is valid.

Maaan. Its hard to tell if im joking right now. Im not sure about the universe right now but crisis on infinite worlds was awesome. Batman makes a better villian than a hero
-
Sinking deeper lol
-
Perhaps you mean crisis on infinite earths?
-
maybe : P Hard to remember what I meant last night
-
It'll probably be destroyed, or start over probably but ain't nobody going back on their because God made a mistake of putting the most destructive beings on a planet that deserves genuine care and love. :I

I think it will start over. My very first opinion - it was 4 years ago - was, it will start over. And, before I got strapped in d*, I wished I can live again if God'll make a new cycle of live.
@1714 : it's not God's mistake. It's Lucifer's. He's the one who tricked man. But, now I think it's God's too, since he let Lucy to trick man. -_- -
Okay I technically am extremely qualified to give an answer here.
Well, there are actually three ways, technically 4 but Ill get to that later. The first is your prediction, and the version of the universe's death I tend to prefer. Gravity eventually takes the expansion of the universe to a halt then reverses it into a compression until the entire universe gets crushed into a black hole-like dot in a prosess of fire and fusion. The second, however, is a bit more...strange. In this version of the universe's destruction, the Dark energy that is currently making the universe expand faster and faster completely dominates over gravity, and slowly goes through a process that quite literally rips everything in the universe to shreds in what is known as the Big Rip. The third, and very similar fourth way for the universe to die is a very very slow expansion, but not enough to rip everything to shreds. The universe continues to cool and slowly expands until the stars die out, then Brown Dwarves are crushed into black dwarves, planets eventually decay, then atoms themselves, then all matter except for black holes decays as protons do, bringing the inttesting universe to a close. Each black hole will slowly decay in of itself through Hawking Radiation, and eventually explode into subatomic particles that will decay instantaneously leaving the entire 'universe' empty, waiting for random quantum events to start happening in the emptiness. The fourth way to die is exactly the same, except for the fact that instead of a slow expansion the universe's gravity and Dark Energy perfectly balance out leaving the universe at a perfect standstill on size for all of eternity. These two models are called the Big Chill and Revised Big Chill theories. -
^ Yes I know a lot of reading but worth it

No offense alex, but people pay more attention to and better respect your posts when they are grammatical and follow the standard writing standards. When you stance a run together nonchalant paragraph, whether or not it has any value to the criteria or value of the argument at hand it is less likely to be noticed and or taken with any regard. If you want to make an effect in the debate you are posting to try to just be a little more grammatical in your prose.
That is itl -
Damm, I forgot quite a few commas in that....
