Thread Topic: Jesus was not white.

That is all that needs to be said, I believe.
-
Never mind, I do doubt he existed, but that is a conversation for another time.

I remember learning somewhere that there was an actual man who was known for his humanitarian actions called jesus although i cant rememberhow credible the source was... it is actually pretty possible he was white as if he existed, he presumably existed in the middle east where people come in a variety of complextions. While we're speculating its also possible that he was not native to the middle east and came from futher west.

There is enough proof to know there was a jesus and also he was killed by the romans. That's about it which is commonly agreed upon.
-
Jesus was a Jew that is what I believe anyway
His father and mother on earth were Jews so unless God decided to be racist and put a white or black baby in a Jew family Jesus was Jew :)Moderator -
People aren't usually white in the middle east slim.. But I suppose it could have been different back then. Is Syria middle east? Some of them look white there.

Jesus is green.

paigequizzy NewbieWho cares what color He was? I believe, and it makes logical sense for Him to be black... I heard a sermon about that once... but His entire story is a miracle none of it really makes sense I mean come on Who is that awesome right! He could have been white even with 2 black parents because everything else was crazy and different! but really one isn't better than the other nobody really knows what color Jesus was.
-
Actually, people really do.
Do to something called "Everybody in that area was the same f---ing color" he undoubtedly was too.
He was born a man and had the physical makeup of such. -

Alright, let me point out the sources then.
Tacitus was a roman senator who wrote about how the fire of Rome was started by Christians, and how a man named Christ was executed by Pontius Pilate. His writings are considered to be authentic and evidence of both a christian population in Rome and the existance of Christ.
A second source is the writings of Josephus, in his book about the Jewish people, and contains two references to the existence of Jesus and one to John the Baptist.
James the Just is also thought to be the brother of Jesus, and wrote several passages about their relationship. While there are doubts to their validity, we have no way of determining if they are accurate.
I'm certain there are other references to the existence of Jesus in historical texts, but these three are the main ones I'm going off.
Also, yes, Jesus was most likely Jewish. Though I would love to hear this sermon explaining how he could be black. -
wasn't even born in Israel -
