minty4one NewbieWhy do you think the topic of God has been so
popular over the decades?
It has come to my attention that the argument of God's existence and the Christian faith seems to be the most popular argument and christians, the most hated group since 20 A.D.
People here tolerate Muslims and terrorism more than they do Christianity and God? Why is that? -
Because the Muslims haven't tried converting me.
-
minty4one NewbieBut what about jehovahs witnesses? They are twice as annoying and people don't bash one them at all.
-
Are you going to try and imply that no one bashes the Muslim religion and it's people?
-
minty4one NoviceNo, people bash on them I am sure.
Oir nation was founded as a Christian nation and now it is run by Muslims.
Listen, I am just pointing out facts here and trying people's opinions. -
care_bear19 NoviceThe Muslims are highly discriminated against since 9/11 and Isis came along. They are one of the most hated groups in the American culture. And it's very wrong.
-
Except for Buddhism most religions are s---.
-
That opinions s---.
-
Because there is a fair amount of truth in what they are saying and people just don't want to accept it as true.
-
Or maybe it has to do with the fact that people only acknowledge what happens to them? You probably wouldn't notice people bashing Christians if you weren't one.
Or maybe it has to do with the fact that historically Christianity is one of the most violently imposing faiths?
Or maybe it has to do with the fact that, at least in America, Christians are trying to pass laws based on their faith?
But it's obviously because we're all secretly angry that you're right. That makes total sense. -
I tend to think that humans feel a need to know the answer to what happens after death. Being mortal is hard to come to terms with so an attempt is made to find immortality.
-
Even if that attempt is as simple as making something up to make it all okay.
That's perfectly fine until you start trying to convince others you're right. -
Ever heard the expression "if it was easy, everyone would do it"? Theres a flip side as well, and that is that if its easy, everyonell be doing it.
Everyone has an opinion on christianity because it doesnt take much education or intelligence to have one.
And the truth of course is somewhere between more and less complicated than its made out to be, but thats never been what the average crowd who argue these topics to begin with are interested in. And to be fair, thats ok. Probably for the best all things considered.
