Read a biology book... And just curious: what do you think is the oldest religion?
And someone brought it back, so we're discussing both.

I don't care to read the bible because I don't go to church. Hinduism is the oldest, by the way, and they have a story very similar to Noah's Ark.

SpacePioneer NewbieA lot of religions have a story similar to Noahs Ark and that's why it's accepted to be true.
And No disproving God in this statement but just because it says in the Bible seven days doesn't mean it happened in seven of our days; that would be too fast for ecosystems to form and things of the sort. Also, Humans aren't all that special, and I'm sure we're not the only intelligent beings in the universe, the probability that there is some other civilization out there no matter hiw far away is too great, unless you decide to blot out all chances thing since humans are oh-so-special that we're totally alone in this universe. I can't remember who said it, but once I heard somewhere someone say, "If God would've created us alone in this universe, it would be a great waste of space" And God doesn't create waste. -
I'm not entirely religious, I feel agnostic. But well, I'm "not allowed to not believe in God", so I suppose I'm a Christian? Heh, if my parents would give me the free will to have my own beliefs, maybe I could argue about what I really believe without being yelled at. Buuut, since that isn't possible until I'm 18 (my parents actually told me that, they said I have to be an adult and then have my own religious beliefs), I'm gonna have to pass on this debate, but would love to watch.

@Puppet master (mostly)
So if you are an evidence freak and need proof for every little thing in your life don't bother reading any further. It should be a well known fact that it is a person's freewill to believe certain things or not... When I write these things, they are simply answers to your questions in an attempt to show that what we believe is not entirely littered with 'plot holes'... there are answers, when looking to the Bible.
1. I believe dinosaurs were amalgamations made by man. God never intended for them to exist (they were not there in the very beginning either), so that would explain why He did not tell Noah to bring them with on the ark.
2. God did not create man the way we are now. He created us so that we were in perfect holy communion with Him. Sin did not exist to us. War broke out in heaven, and Satan/Lucifer (using a serpent) tempted Eve to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. As soon as Adam also partook of it, they both became aware of evil. They became fallen. In order to make it so that we would not have to live this way for all eternity, God made them leave the garden of Eden so they could not take of the tree of life (which gives immortality). Having fallen into sin, we became captive under Satan... it is a very dangerous thing not to believe that Satan exists. That's what he wants. Anyway, Jesus is our Saviour who breaks us free from the bonds of sin by reconciling us to God. And God is the one who provided Jesus in the first place! I could go on but I shouldn't, it's probably just a waste of my time.
3. ..... This is just rhetorical to me, honestly.
Why do I even bother... I see these questions and I feel like it's so plain to see... everything adds up when it comes to the Bible. Rarely do you see in life a book that is so connected and so full circle. It is written in different time periods, by many different men (the book of books), and yet it still interconnects perfectly. Sigh. Okay I'm done now. -
Beverlyreagan Novice:) ^

1. If God is the creator of all things, then didn't he make dinosaurs too? And if he really didn't want them to exist, then wouldn't they have not existed?
2. How could Adam and Eve know what it was to be good if they never experienced evil? How does God expect them to be good if they don't know what it means to be bad? Also, I read a very long poem that described the fall of mankind, and in it it said that God was mad at Adam and Eve for disobeying him, so he casted them out. And how do you know what Satan wants? Are you him?
God is suppose to be this all loving being, but he still killed people and got rid of species. Not only that, but he throws people in Hell just for not believing he exists. How is that all loving?
