care_bear19 NewbieEvolution. The earth has been around for Billions of years but acording to Christians and the bible it's only been around since the 7 days before the first human was made. Also, humans didn't just appear they are decendents from a common ansestor we have with monkeys. They slowly evolved through millions of years.

Many God put the animals on Earth so we can "evolute" from them? Who the hell knows?

Guys, I don't mean to be rude but I will not debate with anyone dumb enough to even think for a moment that evolution is anything more than a fariytale.

No, the Catholic Church no longer says that Earth is only 6000 years old, but one little hush-hush thing no one wants to bring up about evolution; Not EVEN all of the different species were fossilized, so we are only making huge guesses about what we don't know, so that throws out the evidence that evolution ABSOLUTELY happened, and each species yes, can evolve slightly to become more adapted to it's environment, like Grizzlies compared to Polar Bears or Pandas even, but the original species, ex. bears, were created on their own basis. We even now have evidence from the human genome that we all came from a single woman, at least our branch of human, homo sapiens.

So are you for evolution or against it?

Mostly against, but I do believe that God created the basic organisms, and in the process of adaption to new environments these species eventually "evolved" into their current sub-species, but I disagree of the whole chain idea that our origins lie in fish and bacteria.

I have no idea what that means. A passage from the bible? How is that proof?

Because if you were to take it into consideration and realize the truth in what it's saying then you will know.

care_bear19 NewbieHow do you know that God isn't the fairytale and evolution is real? I'm not saying God isn't real, because honestly no one knows for absolutely sure but there is more hard, i can see, evidence towards evolution then towards God.

There are things my dad has seen and things I, as a FOURTEEN year old, have seen that there is no explanation for except that of God.
