How can this world be created by one single atom randomly put into place in the middle of nowhere in space, then boom Earth and all the planets were made? No, I believe that the beauty that is this planet had to be made by one genius, there are kids all over the world who have seen Jesus and share there experiences. It makes sense.
-
-There wasn't a single atom, that's silly.
-It wasn't "put" anywhere.
-It wasn't "boom Earth" There are billions of years between "boom" and "Earth".
-All of those kids who magically saw Jesus already knew about him. Yet kids who believe other faiths have seen their deity. Now what are the chances of that?
Now this is the beauty of science. You don't have to believe in it for it to be true. -

I actually read a book called Science and The Bible, I think. It said that most or the things in science right now was told in one way or another in the Bible.
I also said that evolution while its credible, it hasn't been really proven. There hasn't really been a missing link found. Think of it like this, When did anything develop lungs if it was living perfectly fine without them.
Don't hold me to this though. I don't think I got this right. I don't remember everything in the book or the book even though this was 3 days ago. -
You know, it gives me hope when people say evolution hasn't been proven. Because in a scientific sense, we have more evidence for evolution than we do gravity.
-
Gravity can be simulated easily, evolution not so easily.
How is BANG God who can do anything more realistic? -
I have a feeling you're talking about a totally different kind of evolution then the rest of us

Both sides have the same fatal flaw, which is whatever happened happened long before it was recordable. Science, however, has the advantage that there is tangible proof of its theories whereas religion relies on a book.
Although, I would like to point out that Genesis 1:3 states, "And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light." Since it is widely believed that Genesis is meant to be taken symbolically, could this not be referring to the Big Bang? I would also like to note that Genesis describes God creating the Earth in 7 days. Now, if one is familiar with symbolism used at the time the Bible was written, he or she would know that 7 is a number used to describe infinity. Also, the term "day" at the time was often used to describe thousands of years when telling a story of the gods since gods were seen as infinite beings themselves, therefore making time shorter for them than it is for humans. Taking all of this into consideration, could the Bible, then, be pointing towards Evolution from Creation? -
My father believes in both, as Rascal explains it. I, however, am a firm believer in evolution.
