God isn't the cause of your problems. He isn't some mean guy sitting up in the sky watching the world suffer. He's an all loving and good God that let's you have a choice and not just be a robot programed to follow him.
The world's conception of God is so messed up because we're surrounded by lies. Before you bash Christianity or any Religion for that matter know the cold hard facts. -

to the people that are devout- this might seriously harsh your spiritual mellow so don't read if you don't want to.
the one thing i feal we can all agree on is that IF there is such a god as in christian bible, then he would be all knowing, all powerful, and all loving. so lets start there.
IF "god" existed and is our shephard as to a flock of sheep then
1 there is no hell.
2 there is no crime and punishment. only the illusion thereof.
3 "god" is a lier. wether benovent or otherwise
to explain the first i say that an all knowing being knows that eternity means, no tomorrow. no day after that. and no eternal future. in the same breath, it even strips you of past. you cease to exist. if I- a guy with a history of narcotics crimes, and brushes with incarsaration regarding violence crimes- if I can undestand this then an all knowing "god" should have no trouble. givin that an all loving "god" would not waste your existence on your suffering. it doesn't make you a better person if its eternity -
and others who CAN be changed by it can't see it. thus hell cannot by any means exist.
the second statement is actually mirrored to a degree in despotism style government.
"god" is all powerful. therefore nothing can possibly displease him. if he truly is the alpha and omega, if he truly created the universe then he-"god" was always all powerful. and thus would not have understood the concept of displeasure. not because hes fooled. but because the concept doesn't truly exist. therefore the judges who say 'it gives me no pleasure to-' are spouting bulls---. they LOVE saying that and feeling that way and sentencing at all. the criminal balling and crying is also bulls--- because he too loves what hes doing.
the conclusion therefore is that with the bear minimum- who is god?- we cand deduce based on his face (life as we know it) and three of his traights, an all powerful, all knowing, all loving God is a lier. are we not suppose to copy "gods" virtue? why does a God with no comprehension of displeasure lie? -
