Thread Topic: Okay, Christians.

Well, no.
I was explaining why the example you posted was incorrect. There are several logical reasons to explain why God was killing people, but I just assumed that you'd already made up your mind and wouldn't be persuaded regardless of what I said. -
No, no, explainnnnn .w.
-
Yes so we too can kill as a last resort
-
Called self defense, mate, ain't nothing wrong with that.
-
Tell that to God who judges you for killing
-
Where does it say that? Give me a passage.
And if you try to use the sixth commandment, bear in mind that a more accurate translation from the original Hebrew would actually be 'thou shalt not murder,' which is quite different from killing, and that Jesus made exceptions for that in accidental killing (numbers 35: 22-25) and justifiable circumstances (Exodus 22:2).
Is self defense not a justifiable circumstance? -
There is a difference between murder and killing.
-
....the bible has been revised three times and those people put what they wanted. I'm not siding that God didn't kill people, which yeah he actually did.
-
No one in this thread is denying that, Anri.
-
God killed people because they were wicked so I too have the right to kill someone if I find them wicked
-
DONT POKE HOLES IN MY CHRISTIAN RELIGION
-
Mate, why you getting so butt hurt over this? I haven't seen this much hurt since the great silph scope digging of 2014.
A judge sends people to jail because they're wicked, but that doesn't mean I personally have the same rights or power to do so, idiot. Same theory applies.
God didn't just kill people for the lulz or arbitrarily decide they were wicked and smite them, he killed them as punishment for their sins. The same way a judge passes judgement on a criminal. He judged them. And even then only after giving them more than enough time to redeem themselves. What is your problem with this? What don't you understand?
(See, this is why I didn't bother explaining this earlier, UnLoving, because Kish is clearly not open to reason. And I get the feeling that half the people here aren't even reading the thread; if Bunny and Anri are any indication.) -
So, you're suggesting that it was okay for him to kill all those people? That it was "justice"?
And what about the quote? That's basically saying kill people if they worship a different God. -
The child murderers?
