Anyway, bob, just because you can back up your point or whatever does not give you a pass to be rude. (Not referring to thread; your other threads) Horses is allowed to state her beliefs. Even if her only logic is that "the bible said so." BECAUSE THOSE ARE HER BELIEFS RIGHT THERE. AND IF YOU ASK HER FOR AN EXPLANATION SHE'LL HAND YOU THAT BOOK AND YOU CAN'T HATE HER FOR IT. Sorry about the caps lock, but seriously? If you handed her your book of beliefs, she'd respect that. -

the pass to be rude is given by the online envirement. The combination of it's annonymous nature, and lack of privacy\saftey control, basically removes any immediate incentive to be polite.
Which brings me to your major point that rational justification is not reason to act.
This is the basic lack of perspective that is the downfall of classic abrahmic morality.
First you fail to acknowledge the subjective nature of rudeness, in fact you drive head first into the idea that even though you have no rational proof, your idea of manners should be universal.
Second what you're saying essentially is that you do not act on rational thought and rather don't care about it at all. I can respect that, but it's no reason for you to preach your approach to others. Frankly it's not really the place of the irrational to teach their way. -

For two...I'm still not sure how it's alright to say crap about people's religions, but then when they simply say something that's based off their religion, you get pissed off.
That makes absolutely no sense.
"Crying is a sin" makes you people furious, but
"You worship your imaginary friend" is alright? -
It's called a bias. Like you have one towards Christianity and respecting religion, we have one against religion.
You'll take the second phrase worse because you're with religion.
We'll take the first phrase worse because we're not.

I'm not "with religion". I'm looking at this from a completely unbiased viewpoint. I could understand why that would upset you if she was like "You're not allowed to cry", but she is not saying anything like that. She's just saying that she believes that; you can choose to follow those beliefs, or you can choose not to. If she was trying to force that upon you, I could understand why you'd be upset, but otherwise, she's just sharing her beliefs, which is okay to do.
