Thread Topic: How To Respect Other's Religions
-
If you tell me I'm going to burn in hell for being different, I'll tell you why your opinion is bulls---. But at least I'll give you the courtesy of telling you why your belief is bulls---. You're welcome.
-
Or how about we all just be respectful and not say s--- about other's religions? :)
-
Then what's the point of this thread?
-
*headdesk*
Because you had a problem with horses declaring her belief that crying is a sin, but found no problem in telling her she worshipped her imaginary friend. -
"You're all going to hell"
"Your belief is wrong and this is why."
I'm the offensive one... -
Wait when did I say that...
("Your belief is wrong and this is why.") -
You haven't. That's the point.
-
"In my beliefs, I believe that you are going to hell."
^ It's only her beliefs, can't hate her for it
"I belief that your belief is wrong. Why? Because I believe mine is right and yours is the opposite. I ant believe in both, how would that even work?"
See this would be expressing your beliefs.
And respecting them would be to not start calling them hateful and calling their God's their imaginary friends.
And then to get upset that they expressed their beliefs, and to say you hate them because they are disrespectful.
Now it's a different story when - "You are going to hell." Not okay. But when in context and such, there is nothing wrong with expressing your beliefs.
I feel like I've already explained this :T -
It's 1:30 in the morning and I don't have enough gumption to type worth a f--- right now. So I'm just going to give a quick run through.
-Your analogy is biased as s--- and doesn't actually address either side.
-That's not stating my beliefs. that's being apologetic and passive.
-I've explained EVERYTHING I've ever claimed. When I tell you that your religion is hateful, I explain how it's hateful.
-And I don't hate you for being disrespectful. I hate how childish you act, how biased you are being, and how you have such a victims complex to everything I say.
-"when it's in context and such, there is nothing wrong with expressing your beliefs."
That's right. So take what I say in context and stop acting like I'm the f---ing villain here. -
Literally exactly what bob said^
your idea of expressing beliefs is "omfg haha so yeah this is what i believe sorry" -
Bob, so far most people you have argued with have at one point felt like you were being nasty.
So far theres been none who haven't as far as I know.-food for though -
Love others religion
-
@Carri04 What I've noticed in most forums is that you agree with everything Bob says...
-
Geek. Yes. Yes they do. I came to terms with this long ago.
Entity. I run almost everything i post by her first to make sure others can understand it and my point isn't lost. Also, anything i say that she agrees with, she usually helps me type up. -
@Entity, that's because I actually do] agree with him. Does it make me less of a person with a functioning brain for having similar ideologies with another person? I agree with many people on this website. I'm most vocal about Bob because he debates more than the other people I agree with.
If you're trying to link a bias for him, you will not find one. We've debated each other before to no ends, and we disagree on hella tons of things. If he's bulls---ting, I'll point it out as if he's someone I greatly dislike. No one get's a free pass.
