I'm saying that I do not believe in an after life. But if miraculously, I'm wrong, and your religion is the one in a billion that is right, that some way, some how, your deity would have to remove a piece of who I am for me to not revolt. To live in paradise and truly enjoy it, you would have to ignore the fact that billions of people are also suffering. I find it hard to believe that people in heaven are just sitting there complacent to the fact that their families and loved ones are burning for eternity.
So what is it then? Do you simply forget and live in ignorant bliss? Do you just stop caring? In either case, you would be forced to lose a bit of who you are to be able to actually be happy. Either that or you can live with the fact that an all powerful deity is letting billions of people be tortured for all eternity because they didn't back him up.
Being an ass about trying to convert others is a bi product of a dogma that follows the viewpoint that God is an a--hole.
So I'm not trying to tackle the point that you're trying to convert people. I'm talking about WHY you try and convert people. You believe that anyone who doesn't want to praise your God is going to hell. That is fundamentally sick. -
Well if you praise God, he rewards you.
If not, you're giving into the devil and praising him. He makes you think you are living the best life ever (doing whatever you want; getting whatever you want) and then one day you die. And the devil has brought you to he'll as his little thank-you.
God didn't send you there. You chose the devil and that's where the devil brought you.
Yes, people in Heaven are in bliss! What do you want Heaven to be like?; everyone sitting around pacing, worrying about their family who is burning? That's your idea of Heaven? -
My heaven is something I experience every day. I live in a first world country with a decent system. I don't live with my parents, but I do have grand parents that love me. I have a few friends and a beautiful girlfriend. This is my bliss. The world may not be perfect, but I do try my best to make it better. I don't sit there in complacency. I actively try to improve things. I try to improve the problems are really exist. If someone is hungry, I will try my best to feed them. If someone is cold or lonely, I will try my best to stay with them and keep them warm. I don't waste my time trying to make people repent to a God who's only viewpoints are worship me & suffer.
Be the change you want to see in the world. If you want everyone to be Christian, then you be Christian. Don't tell them that they have to. Lead by example. Not with threats. -
I don't threaten or force anyone. I post encouraging/influencing posts here and I back up my religion.
Ok so you're living your dream life or whatever. What happens after your life? -
Absolutely nothing. I die. My body will be donated to science. Some of my organs will probably be used in medical procedures for patients who need them. The rest of me will probably go off to some college lab to be dissected.
My family will morn. Any living family member who was older than me will probably say I died too young. My wife (or girlfriend) will probably take it the worst. If she's still young, I hope she eventually moves on and finds someone else to love her like I did. If I have kids, they'll remember me for who I was. They'll probably take it hard to.
Stories about me might be passed down a few generations, but eventually my name will disappear. I will become nothing.
And that's just how I like it. -
Also, you tell people they're going to burn and I have yet to see you post anything actually encouraging.
Nor have I ever seen you post anything to actually back up your religion. You demand something is right and then when asked why, you only say because the bible said so and because you believe so. Those things aren't a basis for "proof". -

It' the truth in your opinion. To others it comes off as a threat. And an ignorant one at that.

Never seen one that didn't revolve around trying to convert people. And don't call me young lady.

The problem is that you still expect other people to ever believe you. And are "disappointed" when they don't. -
If there's an afterlife, I want it to be like Earth. Maybe less corrupt. But with all the variance and possibilities.

Well I've never heard of a religious story that doesn't try to convert....what would be the point of the story? My aunt's story (for example) was encouraging, yet could lead people to be converted if they chose.
You're acting like only Christians try to convert. By sharing your opinion that you don't believe God exists, and giving reasons why, you're trying to convert people to atheism. Which I don't see a problem with. So everything's fine. You're comaining for no reason.
You said something about "Everyone in Heaven would be a heartless, soulless person." Seems like you believe we already are.

The difference between what I'm doing and what you're doing is I'm not telling people what they are doing. Your, "You're either worshiping God or worshiping Satan." Is implying that there are no other options. Lack of belief is lack of belief one way or the other.
