I'm getting a circumcision soon in twelve hours (not really eager but meh) and I just decided to bring up this. Do you think circumcision is a good thing, pros and cons, etc.
Not really sure if this is appropriate but this could be interesting. -
I view it as more of a cosmetic procedure than anything. The health benefits are pretty minimal. As long as you can clean yourself correctly down there it isn't a big deal. But foreskin just does not look good, sorry.
-
Considering my gandad died of an infection because he was uncircumcised my oppinion is fairly biest...
-
I never had a choice in the matter. It happened to me when I was a baby. And I've always harbored a small amount of anger towards my family for robbing me of at least having the choice. I cannot tell you any pros or cons for I have only ever experienced the one.

chicks dont really dig it when you whip out a ding dong with a foreskin on it
-
FLgirl92 JuniorI don't really consider foreskin a turn-off so long as it is well maintained and clean. As far as circumcision goes, I don't see much point to it unless it is a religious thing.
-
Personally, I think foreskin is pretty gross. It's a major turnoff for me.
-
I think thst circumcised penises are a turn off >.> to be honest. Circumcision leaves behind a scar and its just not attractive. I prefer it no circumcised. If someone wants to get themselves circumcised it'd not really a problem, but I don't think infant circumcision should be permitted. :)
-
@timothy44. Why are you getting circumcised if I may ask?
-
Explosives Fun Newbie@saphiretwirl If circumcised when young and done properly there is no scar.
-
Still. The foreskin is there for a reason. There is no need to circumcise an infant except in very minimal circumstances. I definitely wouldn't circumcise my child. I think it's his decision to make when he's older because its HIS body, not mine.
-
Plus. No pediatric association in the WORLD recommends infant circumcision as a routine procedure.
-
foreskin is there because back when people were cavemen they needed it to protect their d---. its not really there for a reason nowdays.
I dunno about pediatric associations, but it is recommended that infants get circumsized for several reasons. Its best to do it as an infant so there is no scarring and less risk of infection. also less risk of infection if there is no foreskin, since it needs to be kept clean. and there are different types of bacteria that live on the penis if there's a foreskin on it, and those bacteria that are on one with a foreskin can cause more disease in women they have sex with.
I cant find where I read this stuff a while back, I'll put it here if I find it. but while looking I found this. , pediatric assosciation that recomends circumcision.. -
It's there for a reason. It keeps the sensitive head of the penis moist and protects it from abrasions
-
I think circumcision should be up to the child when he is old enough to decide FOR HIMSELF. The foreskin is not a birth defect. And NO, no pediatric association in the world recommends infant circumcision. I think it's cruel and unecessary to put a newborn through this in their first moments of life.
