Thread Topic: So my friend says she's Christian

dani123 JuniorBut when she sees someone reading a different type of bible than the Christian bible (Muslim, Jewish etc) she gets offended and angry and goes to tell them off, stating all these facts about Christianity, how it's right and their beliefs are wrong.
She says she hates jehovah witnesses cos they want to always convert people when she's the one who argues with people to prove that their religion is wrong and her one (Christianity) is correct. Does anyone else see something wrong with her? Shes my best friend but whatever she can be a hypocrite. -
is she really your friend is christian guess it's hard to tell. What do you think?
-
Well, in my mind, something in every religion is correct. Whether it's a little thing or big thing. Sometimes, people are so attached to their own religion they don't think about the possibilities of other religions having something in common with theirs. I am Christian myself and believe that all the religions have something about them correct. But, no one will ever know. You will find out when you die (hopefully, that won't be for a while). I believe that is the only way to receive such knowledge. But, who knows; I could be wrong. Just try telling your friend to let people believe in what they want. It is their life anyway!

I'm Christian, and I see something seriously wrong in what she's doing. She doesn't have the right to tell other people that their religion is wrong. You can only determine what is right and wrong for yourself.

humdrum NewbieI agree with LittleRosie. I would also say that her "attachment" to her "religion" would be stemming from her beliefs when growing up. Her family .. what are they like. Could be that she is projecting what her family life was like. I would also venture to say that she may be upset with herself in that she may just want to "try" other religions but may feel ashamed or angry with herself for even thinking that. Just my thoughts. Hmmm.

Even if she believes that her beliefs are right, she has no right to go and force them on others. :I She's going about it completely wrong. If being a Christian is to try and be Christ-like, remind her that's not something Jesus would do.

Show her the video I posted in my thread in this forum. When someone forces their religion upon others,it just makes the religion look bad and pushes people away from it even further.
-
Religion is like a penis. It's okay to have one, but you can't whip it out and force it down people's throats.

Well this is my opinion. If your friend is so Christian, she should respect other religions not be a freaking dictator about it. A girl I know wants me to get into Christianity, but I said no. I know there is a God, but I don't want to get forced into a religion. She just needs to stop being mad and offended by the other religions.
-
I'm a Christian too. But i think it is very wrong to hate on people or judge them for their religon.
-
Journey Hill NewbieI made up my own religion. But, don't go around and force it down upon others. She might get badly hurt, because the person she insulted could physicly hurt her. If she really is Christian, she must stop. Jesus wouldn't do something like that, would he? If you're Christian, you follow God's and Jesus's way with respect. Jesus respects all religions and loves everyone, so does God. Tell your friend that what she's doing isn't God's or Jesus's ways.

FLgirl92 JuniorFaith is a personal choice, and it starts with you. This is pretty much what I tell anyone like your friend, any person who thinks that proving their faith means spreading it around and pushing it on those who disagree.
