I'm a Christian but I don't think that I'm a theist anymore.
I nearly died and "God" didn't talk to me or anything.
Could it just be an idea created by people to make their nearly dying friends feel better before they died? -
yea its just an idea that people made up thousands of years ago to explain everything enstead of logical reason

tongue NewbieI don't know. I personally have a hard time taking the leap of being an atheist. I believe in God I suppose, but not really the kind of God taught by Christianity. I like to think there is some kind of balancing spirit in the universe.

You can either A) Hate god B) Say he dosen't exist, or C) Just not acknowledge it .

or D) look at the reasoning.
if there was an almighty good, wouldnt he be self contradictory to let an ultimate evil come from him.
also, i was told that god answers your questions with yes, no, or wait. if you think about it. that would make any situation point to a "divine spirit". lets say you ask for a million dollars, if a rich relative dies and leaves money to you you think it meant god said yes. if you nevver get the money, you think god said no. or you could live out a few more years and you will save up that much and think that god said wait.
the point of this is that a priest found a way to maintain the faith by making every ones prayers answered. -
Or C) Just don't acknowledge it.

I think what makes most people not make the leap to atheism is that they're scared that if they get it wrong they'll end up in Hell. Pascals Gamble and all that is the best I think that's holding religion together. -

I pick B and C, but the best thing is to not acknowledge it, then you don't have to worry your head with that bull sh1t.

I don't, I just do what my religion tells me to do, so I'm not in the wrong, believe that he's real but just don't think about it a lot, he's not a very appealing subject anyway, we can't see him or anything, so there's not much to say.

Well I believe in God but I'm not very religious like I don't really go to church and stuff. I kind of feel the whole universe couldn't just happen because science is so complex and evoultion to me doesn't have good evidence for it. And I recognize the contrast of good and evil in the world.

When you meet someone who is really nice and seems very nice there's usually like a downside. -
I'm not too religious so I don't give a f--- but like Bella Rose I just believe in him and that he created the whole universe and it wasn't just there.
