if god loved so much why would he bar us from his paradise to live on this rock until we are too old and decrepped to go on, or meet a horrible early end. even when that happens you are still put on judgement to see if you have to live in another unnending torrent for all eternity. so, what makes you think god loves us? he torments us for years and still gives the possibility of hell. your gods unwavering love only applies after you have already been through hell and back!

He gave us the moon and sun, he gave as all the plants that grow on earth, all the fruits and vegetables, all the seeds and crops, and all those plants contain medecine to cure your sickness, he gave us water to drink from, he created man in the best way possible, he made man better than all around him with the brain, he gave us a lot, and we have to do good deeds as repsect for him, and if we don't, we go to hell. Simple as that.

That's stupid, there isn't even a reason for all that to exist.

AGGGG! I JUST DID A REALLY LONG AND COMPLICATED ANSWER AND THEN I HIT THE BACK BUTTON ON MY MOUSE!!!

Okay, take two.
Ilm, people make such a 'fuss' about religion because depending on how/if you follow it then the outcome of that will be 'where' you go after death (if you go anywhere at all). For example, if your best friend died and they were a very good person you'd hope there was a 'Heaven' for them so that they could enjoy life, just in another way fit for their goodness. Religions are just extensions of beliefs, with a few generalizations and rules added on.
Bob, you have explained you views really badly and I don't fully grasp what your trying to say so my answer may not fully cover it. If we're that bad and can't be helped, God punishes us for our actions. The reason there's evil in the world? Free will that God gave us because he loves us and doesn't want us to be like robots that have no choice. -
Thanks Bambi on page 3 rock on!
I'm not making a "fuss" over religion. I'm just saying I find hope in God and honestly the reason for religion is to find peace and understanding. I'm sorry Bob if you feel badly about God but you what you're saying really isn't true. He does love us, he created us and doesn't want us to do bad things that ultimately cause us harm in the end. And like Bambi said he gives us free will to choose him over evil, he doesn't hate us at all because he gives us freedom instead of forcing us to follow him. And even if we mess up he forgives us and protects us. -

we are given the "option" to follow in his idea or be punished if we are not. the same way that a dog is punished if it doesnt follow its master. that is the best representation i can make for any religion that includes a hell.
and bambi, you dont grasp my idea at all, my comment wasnt on the reasoning of hell but rather its aplication. if he is the one true being, all knowing and all seeing, master of all that was, is, and ever shall be, then why does he have to wait for us to make the predetermind actions before he casts us to hell?
and the idea that he placed everyone on this earth for a reason fits in perfectly with the concept of robot. in a religiouse perspective, god placed us here for a "purpose", right? just like clock work. every person here to perform a predetermined task. so, if the religiouse ideas are right, are we robots? -
Bob, because he has given us free will. Yes, he is omnipresent but we are a different being to Him and we are less than Him. He doesn't want to interfere with us anyway because we are His Children and we have been given the right of privacy and of free will like in the classic example of Adam & Eve. We do have a choice, Bob. We can rebel and turn against His love or we can choose to follow Him. That whole thing with the robots isn't thought out very well because of the things I've just said about free will. Therefore you aren't fully listening to what we say and discussing this topic but more stating your own ideas without discussion.

did you know that if it wasnt for the religouse suppression of science in the dark ages that humanity would probably be colonizing the solar system by now?
