Thread Topic: Do you know how to write in cursive?
-
I was at a clothing store the other day, and when I went to try something on, the woman asked for my name. I told her Selena (Heh, I love when I can make people believe it's my real name.) and she spelled it "Celena" on the name tag on the door, in cursive. I grabbed the marker and erased the "C" and put a cursive "S" instead. She was surprised that I knew cursive, because apparently not many kids do anymore.
So, this made me wonder, do you guys know cursive?
As I said before, I do. My second grade teacher taught us. I'm still disappointed that I don't have the immaculate cursive she does. -
I learned in the summer after first grade.
-
I learned in third grade. I understand it, but never use it.
-
Only my full name, cause I had to XD I was in 4th grade I think.
-
VoicelessVoice NewbieFirst grade.
-
I used to write cursive, from around grade 3 then I stopped in grade 7 now I can't write it anymore
-
I learned cursive in first grade and I still write in it. Regular manuscript annoys me.
-
3-th grade (roughly when I was 8)
I do calligraphy now so cursive looks kinda bland in comparison .-.
BUT I STILL LOVE IT. -
and yes, I still use it
mainly to sign my name but still xD -
I know how and I was taught when I was in second grade.
-
I was taught in 2nd grade but started using it in 5th
-
My third and second fifth grade teachers tried teaching me, but I could never get myself to do it. It just made no sense.
I can still read most of it, though. Depends on the handwriting. I can read my grandmother's cursive, but I can't read my great-aunt's handwriting. -
3rd Grade. :D I don't use it often though, but I like it.
-
End of 2nd grade. I use it every so often now.
-
3rd grade manditory. Always used it until 5th grade and everyone told me no one understands cursive in middle school so now I use print.
