Thread Topic: Your Opinions

I don't know. I just thought this might be something fun to try. Post your opinions on major controversies, small things, or simply talk to others about their views. I'd like to see what you have to say.

manders NoviceI don't like our government....they keep listening to my phone coversations 0.0

I personally think it's rude how my mom judges people by groups. She thinks anyone who does a certain thing is stupid or and idiot or ruining their life. Even if she doesn't understand their situation and she once did the same thing. :/ There's a difference between saying something is bad and saying people are idiots for doing it.
-
@Tess: Honestly, I don't think people should judge others for things they do, unless it's something serious, like murder. For example, if someone smokes, it's not up to the student body to decide if their retards or not. If someone does something you don't agree with, it doesn't make them a bad person.
Things I Don't Agree With (Open For Discussion):
-When people come to a school elling you to never do drugs, when they themselves have had no such experience
-When teachers listen in on student conversations and when something they don't like is said, they confront the student
-People who take things too seriously ie. A racist joke, a stereotypical comment, dry, controversial sarcasm, etc.
-Daisy Dukes and crop-tops -

I don't believe they should they statistics on what people's race is. It just separates and divides the citizens, adding to racism. Not that being proud of your heritage or background is a bad thing, but it should have no place in government. We are Americans, and if we focused on coming together then pulling each other apart, then things would be a lot better. Treat people as people, not a group. Also, I agree with not taking jokes so seriously. If it isn't meant in a hateful or hurtful way, who cares? Sarcasm and poking fun at each other keeps you from getting a big head. I personally love German jokes, and I'm part German. :P

tongue AdvancedI believe 90% of all people are idiots. I think bulimics are basically just idiots and that an intelligent person would lose weight in a way that doesn't make your teeth fall out. I think the only reason government exists is because of how greedy, selfish, and horrid the human race is. The Christian nutjobs who home-school their children are idiots, and their children are idiots because all they ever really learn is to read the Bible, and they grow up to play quarterback for the Denver Broncos. That's it for now, more to come.

I was homeschooled by Christian parents, and I believe I'm quite intelligent. Also, I like Tim Tebow.
-
tongue AdvancedWell yes, but you've also been to real school.
-
My dad is one smart man, and so is my mom. I was homeschooled kindergarden to 3rd grade, and when I entered 'real' school, I was making better grades then the others students. Go figure.

Republicans. Ferengi. Sexism. Romulans. Overbearing capitalist venture. Stuff like that.

*what I don't agree with are these

tongue AdvancedRegarding Tebow, I think religion is a personal matter and that Tebow should keep it to himself instead of using the football field as a platform to evangelize the public.
@Ana: Were you home-schooled specifically for religious reasons, or was there another reason? -
Freedom to express one's religion is part of the first amendment. If there was a Muslim football player showing a bit of his faith it wouldn't bother me. Or any other belief. Freedom is what makes this country good. :3
I was home-schooled mainly because a lot of areas I've lived in have had horrible public schools. But I've also been taught many Christian principles, yes. Rigorous education program with just a backbone of my beliefs. -
HOLY s--- I LEVELED UP *sounds like a noob
