Personally, I think there is nothing wrong with them.
As quite a few members on this site "flame" the slightest bit of immaturity, and never fail to preach about not being a whining baby, I find it baffling that when it comes to such threads such a different view is taken.
I don't think it should be taken seriously. I personally do not give a second thought if I'm not the most missed or the most humorous, simply because I do not rate popularity of serious value. I simply see such threads as a bit of fun; an interesting insight into relationships and opinions, e.t.c.
The internet for many of you is a haven away from the harshness of reality. But how long can living in a virtual world go on? We all have to face reality, right? If a negative response to being bottom of a list is taken, I can only see it as a good thing. A chance to grow stranger is so many ways.
So, no, I don't think it's a bad thing. It's an interesting insight, it's a bit of fun, and whatever the negativity of the outcome can be made better. I think we need not take it so seriously. They're are bigger trials and tribulations out there. Bigger than whining or worrying about if you are not the most popular. -
