Okay, so the seventh graders at my school get a kindergartener as their "buddy" for the year. We take them to church and do things with them throughout the year. It's kind of like being a mentor. We got our buddies today, and I already know mine a little bit. I don't know her that well, though.
So, when I had buddies, my experience was sucky. Look up to the seventh grader? Yeah, right. My first one ditched me to spend time with her friends, and my second one was so overly optimistic she scared me.
Any advice on how to make this experience fun for both the kindergartener and I?
Oh, and while we're on the topic of advice, should I go to the first school dance? -
Oh dear Lord. I am awful with kids, let alone people in general. Damn awkwardness.
