Thread Topic: Can't believe I'm asking this.

I’m just curious and actually kind of worried because this has been going on for quite a while now. If I’m over-exaggerating, being paranoid or just being stupid, tell me. I really want to know.
And, yea, I know I’m asking for a lot but please don’t make fun of me on some of this stuff.
And I’ve tried to ask my parents on this stuff, and although I completely trust them, at the same time I don’t… just, it’s weird.
Over the past few months, although lately it's been getting worse:
*People are always telling me I’m too shy, and I look extremely depressed. One of my friends used to always walk by me and say “sadnessâ€, because she thought I looked sad all the time. Even when I was laughing, happy and feeling fine, people would give me these concerned looks like I was faking my laughter or something. People either constantly ask if I am okay or they avoid me altogether. And as a way to sugar coat it, they would tell me “You’ve changed so muchâ€, especially seeing I used to be this innocent, upbeat and friendly tard. And I doubt you guys have noticed, but I don’t like talking on here very much.
*I feel like every move I make, something bad is going to happen. I don’t even want to talk about this, because I’m pretty much terrified someone will react in a way that’ll hurt my feelings or I feel like someone is going to start hating me over the things I do/say. Because of this, I’m distancing myself from people.
*I’m basically all over the place, from moods, to preferences, to weight. I can’t seem to be very stable anymore in anything.
*I’ve been having these crazy urges/thoughts that I’m scared I’ll act upon. Like, out of nowhere and out of my own control, I keep getting these thoughts about suicide or basically homicidal acts. One of them was in the middle of a grocery store, and it was basically to kick someone really hard in the shin and the only reason I didn’t act on it was because I turned away for a second, and when I turned back they were gone. Then, for another instance, I had this urge to jump off the balcony for one of the malls I was in.
*Some of you have told me you guys do this too, but it’s gotten a little more… uh, consistent? I’m always talking with unreal people (or imaginary friends), and I almost feel like Tomboy (a person inside my head that takes after a violent/rude side of me) is coming out. Or, in a few instances, I’ve almost told people Germany was a real friend. I can’t explain it very well. Just, I’m talking a lot more to them, and some of the conversations I have would probably scare the hell out of you or would just be really upsetting if I tried to have them with you.
*I always feel like someone’s watching me—and not someone good. Like, I feel like at any second even as I’m talking now, someone is going to pop out and kill/attack me. This has affected how much sleep I get.
…Just, I kind of feeling as if I’m losing my mind. I don’t know if this is one of those phases, but the fact that it’s been going on for a while now and that I can’t seem to help it is... well, scary.
Nobody's going to respond because that was long. Oh well. It's good to get my worries off my chest :P -
You seem like a typical teenage girl to me. :)
Hormones and society are taking their toll on you and it's perfectly natural. -
Okies, thanks. Glad it's normal and I'm not crazy.
-
Oh Kaitie. I went through just this when I was younger..
I daresay it's puberty. I don't know much but that's what overtook me.
It may be stress, you know what, I think it's just that, maybe.
I still feel like this all the time.. I'm still treated like this too. I have these very same problems.
I'm here for you Kaitie. I can't assure you that I'll help, but you know I'll read.
I can't really help any other way.. -
;) told ya.
-
Thanks Alice too.
*Sigh* I feel so much better now, lol. -
You're welcome. :)
We're always here for you. -
:) Thanks. That means a lot to me.

^^^^^^like the above said, it's normal :)
You're just having these hormones that's causing stress for you and making you feel out of place and a little uncomfortable. Stress causes people to be tired and moody which is probably why people think you're in a sad mood. But don't worry, lots of people go through. Actually, mostly EVERYONE goes through this. Maybe you just need a break from all this stress? Time to relax and calm down. Think things through your head. Try to think of moment when you were happy. Believe it or not, but one time in school I was soo mad over nothing so I like pushed this guy who wasn't even doing anything and like making fun of him and then calling some other person names. I remember carving the words 'fuk u ppl' on a wooden ruler when I got mad at everyone in my class for no reason. No one ever found out hopefully. And I've seen a lot of people who've been through this aggressive and violent feeling or emotion before. You're sort of lucky in a way because people actually notice and get concerned when you're sad. It shows that they really care.
Anyways, I hope things better for you and remember, this is NORMAL for everyone :) -
Aww, thanks for caring. And whoa ._.
Dayum, I wasn't expecting other people to go through it though. Which is stupid, seeing that I'm not as different as everyone else when it comes to the human body as I want to believe :P -
That's what I used to think too :P
but hey, at least you're not alone in this world :) -
Yeah that's good, hehe.
-
I know how you feel. Don't worry, it'll get better.
