So my Grandpa (the one I was TERRIFIED of coming out to) took it all... Surprisingly well. Like, he actually corrected himself when he misgendered me and deadnamed me. Granted he's had some practice with our family friend that came out as non binary recently (Tony if you go on gtq which I doubt it, thank GOD you exist otherwise I would barely have the courage to come out to my own parents, you're a literal gift from HEAVEN) but it's still really cool
I'm still worried about my uncles tho. Not so much my aunts because they're all kinda "idgaf so long as you're not on drugs" but my uncles... They're a little sPeCiaL
But anyways.... Dangit I think I'm some form of genderfluid lol. Not like... completely. I mean, it's just my preference in pronouns that change, like today it's he/him for SURE but a few days ago I was like NAHHHH they/them hits different xD

And I need to let this story off my chest and I can't tell it to the group chat like usual my friends would be super triggered since it's f---ing about them.

My mom: I'm super supportive! All my friends are gay! For hells sake, your two lesbian friends hang out and kiss at our house all the time!
Me once I got to talk one-on-one to my therapist: Uh, first off, this wasn't a talk about whether she supported gay rights or not, it was her not using trans people preferred names or pronouns. Also, she literally proved my point. Those two 'lesbian friends' are both f---ing trans men, and have been for YEARS. She proved my goddamn point. -

Ik like congratulations, you support gay people and I know you respect trans people, but to everyone else, it doesn't seem like you do. You have done NOTHING to prove you support them other than tolerate them, which isn't being an ally, it's being a chill person. Like, it's common f---ing sense, if you support them using different pronouns and names, USE THOSE PRONOUNS AND NAMES -
Exactly! Like I can’t stress this enough lately if you support me then use my pronouns. It doesn’t have to be that kid sitting next to me in class, but we’ve been out for months now, idk how hard it is for parents to get it-

Idk man. I mean, it kinda makes sense ig. Because she's friends with my friends parents, and most of them aren't out to their own parents, so my mom feels like she's being sneaky or something by not telling their parents, so she just denies that they have other pronouns or names so she doesn't feel like she's going behind her own friends backs ig (my dad doesn't have the same problem with this, thank JESUS)
Yeah, but at the same time I don't WANT her to do that because the ones that are out to their families get super triggered whenever anyone does that, so it's like, I want to be able to call her out for it, but I also don't want to put my friends in that awful position because that f---ing sucks -
I totally get that though. Like her excuse is still dumb but I get why she’d think that. Like she’s not going behind anyone’s back if she uses their kid’s correct pronouns.

I hate how it's illegal for me to use puberty blockers.
Like, not even testosterone or anything. Just puberty blockers (which are 100% reversable and the whole point of them is to give kids some time to figure out their body and find out if they want puberty to happen to them. They're used for trans people a lot of the time, but they were used for cis people for ages and it was ok, but then trans people started using them and they banned them because 'it's too damaging for your body and we're worried about tHe ChiLdRen' (which is bulls--- because the side affects are SO MINOR that it doesnt even matter, and they changed the laws for children using mirowanna immediately after, so I can smoke weed and not give a s---, but puberty blockers? tOO dAmAginG) )

When you realize your school is one of the only schools in the area that doesn't have a gender neutral bathroom-
Not a huge vent but I was talking to some other trans kids on and they were like 'yeah bro the gender neutral bathrooms are so much cleaner than the other ones at my school' and I was like 'wait y'all have gender neutral bathrooms at your school??'
