I guess, an injured person slowly recovering?

Sort of a little cut in a finger that slowly closes into a scab then the scab tearing off and boom finger is healed

a shattered bone and a large festering gash slowly piecing themselves together and healing. the bone knitting itself back together and the infection leaving the gash as it slowly but surely closes up and nothing is left but a scar.
