Thread Topic: Quick Question
-
I have multiple questions and I thought this forum would be the right place to put them.
1.) If you are a teenager, can physical, emotional and metal abuse still effect you later on in life?
2.) What types of things could be done to prevent an emotional and psychological break-down?
3.) What are the side effect of abuse?
4.) What are some tips on helping someone calm down if they are having an anxiety attack?
5.) What should you do if you have depression, but can't talk to anyone about it? -
1) Absolutely. Abuse as a child and teen affects many adults and what they do. It interrupts important milestones in a life where you need nourishment and love.
2) Talking to a therapist/guidance counselor, proper coping mechanisms like writing or singing, physical activity, etc.
3) Depression, anxiety: people who suffered abuse might abuse their children, many other effects.
4) Don't touch them because it will be an even scarier experience, try to talk them down by giving words of comfort or something to distract them (what used to help me).
5) Use helplines and apps. -
Thank you :3
