  um no. studies have shown that theres a trend behind strict parenting and rebellious kids. so "no ur wrong"

  Same,my parents didn't watch over me much-I was pretty rebellious and a flunky.

  Absolutely. The minute they leave home the kids go completely f---nuts with their newfound freedom. I'm living proof of that. So maybe not rebellious kids so much, but definitely immature and irresponsible adults.

  Depends. If they're too strict, then they will be rebellious. However, if the parents are too soft on their kids then it will result in the same result because they'll think that their actions won't have concequences.

  What tongue and timothy said. Plus I think kids will just end up making decisions for themselves. My parents are just right, not too strict and not too light. My brother and I are completely different people though. o.o He does irresponsible s--- and I try to at least be reasonable in what I do.

  sure. Parents do have a direct impact on how kids act...though I'll add that parents aren't necessarily the only or even biggest influence.

  Depends. I haven't looked at studies though. My parents are really strict and I'm not rebellious in the least.

  In some cases yes it can cause them to be rebelious because the kids crave what they have been 'missing out on' and they begin to rebel. In other cases the children fear their parents to much to rebel. ^-^
