Thanks Haylii. Nice to hear I'm not alone. All my friends have parents who encourage their future profession :/
I have never talked to you before but you seem nice and cool. Maybe we should talk some time? -
I think you should follow what you want to do, not what your mother wants. If writing and singing are really what you like, then go for it. Send your book out to as many publishers as possible; try to get noticed by reccord labels. Worst case scenerio they turn you down. But that's when you get right back up and try a different place. You should open the email in your inbox. If you're not opening it out of fear, then how will you know how to get better if it's a rejection email? Take it as constructive criticism. And if it's an acception email, then that's great Kirby!

KILL YOUR MOTHER!
-
You're mother shouldn't complain about the singing one. Most, if not all, solo singers dance or play an instrument while singing. So you're mom needs to stop bitching. And bad singer? That's when you say one; you've never heard me sing and two; you can't judge unless you sound better.

@Kirby All my friends parents are accepting as well :/
And sure!!! From the posts iv'e seen that you've made, your funny :3
I wasn't sure if I should post my own story here, because it is your thread, but I thought that it might be reassuring that your not alone :3 -
Your mother sucks, sorry. I want to be a singer, and though my mother has told me the odds are against me, she has never told me to give up. She encourages me to sing, she praises me when I do well, and she looks for opportunities for me to try. I think you should keep going, no matter what your mother may think. I wish you good luck, and I hope we can both be famous someday.

@TCS- Yeah, she does suck sometimes :/ Thanks and you too!
@Haylii- Thanks. No worries, you're free to post if here!
Thanks to everyone else. You guys boosted up my confidence... thank you. -
@ Kirby Thanks!!

That is really sad and mean.
By the way, what your mom said, about people not reading books the 13year olds wrote, well that's wrong. If you book is really good, and you are young, then people will really be amazed by your skill. Talk to your mom. Tell her how you feel. Post you book on Gotoquiz, AND I'LL READ IT! Follow your dreams.
They'll come true.
And you'll be HAPPY.
stay strong -
what everyone else said.
plus if your good, your good. if you can sing and/or write then folks will buy it up if you try to sell it enough times.
ALTHOUGH, most folks who are succesful in entertainment careers such as writing and music, got good from a lifetimes practice.
keep at it, your only 13, hell if you can make a hit by the time you 20 your a huge success. you got till 40 before your officially a failed singer. so prance on -
Thank you everyone :3
