How can we call ourselves free and equal when gays do not have the complete right to the pursuit of happiness? In most states they can't marry, they can't serve their own country in the military, and they endure a lot of hate. We've come a long way overcoming injustices in the past but we still aren't completely free if we don't allow gays the same rights as others. I don't care if you think it's morally wrong, in America everyone has a right to their own morals and should not be infringed. Live and let live, why is that so hard to do people?

Okie, I wrote this a while ago on here and I still believe it completely today:
Dude, here's my solution: The only reason gays/lesbians can't get married is because some religious groups here don't believe it's marriage, it's just apart of what they believe. So I say make gay marriage legal so gays and lesbians still have their rights, but don't force churches to go against what they believe. Like offer government wedding licences and they can have their own private weddings and stuff, or go to a church that welcomes gays. Other than that the government has absolutely no right to get into people's personal matters. -
Exactly! Gay/Les marriages in Cali are illegal!! D':

tongue NewbieThat's fair. A church has the right to choose who they marry.
