Youve probably heard about this on the news: A single mom wants to make a law that would allow compenasation for giving bone marrow. Medical and lawyers are saying no, Im with the mom on: Why the f--- not??? People are paid for donating plasma, and that is created from bone marrow. Her daughter could die because it can lead to leukemia.

Well, I say the point of donating isn't to get money but to help people, though I'm not really against this is it passes or something, that is if someone's willing to pay this. Like I said, I think donating should be for the giving, not selling. .3.

The point of donation is to give to someone out of the good of your heart. If I demanded money every time I donate to the food bank, doesn't that mean I'm selling food and not donating? -
Except over half of bone marrow donors step out at the last second. They think its painful when nowadays its as easy as drawing blood. So Id be fine if they left it at that except virtually no one is stepping forward. It makes me sick because donating is donating, and youd be giving it to people who need it. But since no one is, compensation is necessary, to me. *

I don't think you should be paid for donating but I think it's great the mum wants to donate her marrow.
