So, what do you all have to say in this? As in, who is running for president? Are you old enough to vote? Who is the best candidate (in YOUR opinion, NOT mine) running as of right now?
-
What What NewbieRand Paul or Ted Cruz. Neither will probably win, but they're the best when it comes to limited government and states' rights.
-
Interesting!
-
I'm not old enough to vote, but even if I was, I wouldn't. I don't give two s---s about politics because in the end, theres a 90% chance my one single vote won't make a noticeable difference.
-
I don't know the candidates. I never paid attention in in politics. I will have to look through them.
Absol- I thought you were like, 20?
Plus, every vote DOES count. Election is a long process and they do that winner-takes-all for each state. So your vote WILL count. -
Lol no, each vote does not count. Even if the electoral vote didnt completely outweigh the popular vote, one singal person does not make a difference.
as for me, ill be voting for whichever democrat is polling the best second to hillary for the preliminaries, then ill vote for whoever the republican nominee is -
exactly. If every person in the world voted except me and the votes were something like 34235234523 votes against 232346346, regardless of what i voted on, it wouldnt make a difference. if i voted on example one, they would have won regardless of my vote. if i chose example 2, they would have still lost regardless of my vote.
-
But if millions of people did the same thing, then it adds up.
-
Okay, your not getting what im saying here.
I don't vote because in the end of the day, nobody is going to notice that i didn't vote or not. Because my one vote is so insignificant, it doesnt really matter. i'll let everyone else who actually cares vote since they care so much about it. you could argue that if everyone did the same thing, then my vote would make a difference (or some s--- like that), but the fact is that almost nobody is going to do that. so yeah. -
hey twilight, if you were doing a vote for best friends.... would you choose me? *is worried*
-
You're not getting what I'm saying either. The fact is that there are millions of people who believe their vote doesn't matter but when its millions of people their votes do matter.
-
ok?
-
millions of votes matter, a single vote does not. lol why is that such a tough concept.
The real fact of the matter is, even if a single person with a single vote could actually make a (difference which they couldn't)
the electoral vote isn't even required to vote the same as the popular vote.
even if every vote mattered, even if your states vote was governed by the popular vote, there's bulls--- glitches that end up making your vote not count. for instance, in florida, if youre black, and the first four letters of your last name match the first four letters on that famously fabricated list of Florida felons, you definitely won't be voting at all, because the state of Florida hasn't bothered to fix its mistakes from the last election.
now even if, the popular vote dictated the vote of your state, even if bulls--- glitches were taken out of the equation, even if one vote could somehow make a difference, if 51% of the voting population votes for jeb bush, and 49% vote for Hillary clinton, then 49% of the voting population wasted their time, because only slightly under half the population lost out anyway.
lol I could probably go on with the ways our system fails, but if it's not evident enough by now then I'm probably wasting my time. -
So one vote can really not do much, does it?
Is that what you guys are getting at?
*Puzzled Look*
I dont really get into stuff about poitics so please excuse my naivety because I was born at a very Young age. (No really, I dont like politics and all of that jazz so I have not been paying attention on what goes on.) -
I'm not old enough to vote, but to be honest, I don't give two damns about Politics. If I could give my vote to someone else, I would, because I wouldn't even use it in the first place. I'm more interested in little amine girls running around in short ass skirts, than I am in Politics.
But, that's my opinion.
