and yet you can persecute a particular group just because your culture tells you to hate them. do you think that the nazis weren't taught to hate the jews?

I'm not saying I hate them. I'm saying I completely disagree with what they did. And my culture, isn't the typical 'white' american. And even so, I could give a crap what my culture teaches me, because I follow my own standards, not what other people tell me to think and do, just because they are my 'people'.

what upsets me so much here is that this VERY thread undermines my potential freedom. if a thread like this can be made and EVERYBODY agrees, then ANY group can be the target. its prudent to point out that- what if you put YOUR particular faith, or goverment, or skin, or belief system in the base statement of this thread. "Asian suck nuts" "Pagans suck nuts" "Crackers suck nuts" and then potentially EVERYBODY agrees.
they're is no such thing as evil. because its just cultural influence. that means the ONLY reason its accpetable to orsticise ANY group is becuase its simply cultually acceptable. not because they're "evil" but because they disagree with your cultures standards. and when its accpetable to persecute one group for ANY reason then it could be ANY group. and when the culture agrees with persecution there can be NO equality. NO freedom. NO security in any small amount of freedom or equality you do have. and finally NO real understanding of whats REALLY important. only a warped version of what your peers tell you to do.
and when you can saY "nazi's suck balls" and its acceptable then MY freedom, and MY equality is at risk. -

dude your supposed to be smart, what i'm saying here is that if you persacute ANYBODY, then EVERYBODY is a potential target of persacution. and when that happens NOTHING is safe -

tongue ExperiencedI get what you're saying Slim, and I gotta tell ya, I've seen alot of similarities between the U.S. in 2011 and Nazi Germany. Last year Arizona passed a law that made it okay to discriminate against Mexicans, and an Islamic house of worship can't be built without insane protests. It's no wonder the neo-Nazi movement is over a million strong in America- we're the most racist country on Earth.

i know tongue. also that law in Arizona is at the bottom of a long list of tyranic laws passed in the history of the American government. as somthing of a historian i can't help but notice every culture and nation from the beginning no matter how enlightened to freedom and justice they claim to be have a habit of losing their grand ideals, and frankly i don't see America as an exception, and i would very much like to see the circle broke.
furthermore the neo-nazi groups in America don't tend to sit around talking about genocide. infact if my understanding serves they aren't even day dreaming about a super race any more. they have a government in mind that they would like to see implemented.
emma, the only reason you see that as a bad thing is because of your culture. infact the nazis weren't self absorbed. they were very selfless actually. they in a world bigger and better hen themselves. let me explain this simply-you have certain values and perceptions that your culture taught you, based on that you look -
back and without questioning their motives or morales, you take on faith which your culture taught you is true. that anyone who would partake in genocide is evil. but the simple fact is you would also emma, given a twist of fate.
if you can understand that then you just liberated yourself from a bit of your culture, if not well.. -
hm. infact yes. they had a mainly VOLENTEER army. they were taught to hate the jews the same as you hate nazis. in their the greatest honor you could achieve in your life for a man was join the military. for women the greatest honor you could achieve in your life was to have an ayrian child. it was all in their culture and they were very proud of themselves as a rule.
