1 hectare (every 2 secs) x 30 = 30 a minute
30 x 60 = 1800 an hour
1800 x 24 = 43200 a day
43200 x 365 = 15,768000 a year -
Conclusion = should have gone to

I cant remember if i already answered you on that score lions...but the reason i mentioned my friend is because at the time, the amount of people who agreed were piling up, and i needed social confirmation of my facts. But then i found actual scientific supporting my suspicion. So i no longer needed social support
-
Oh lol i jut looked back, yeah i already said that. No biggie.
-
But look at the maths. You agree it's correct though?
-
Bottom line: this whole save the rainforest bulls---. Is founded on mythos, social ignorance, and naive thinking.
-
What math are you talking about
-
Don't feel bad, it's OK if you made a mistake the first time
I doubt its all bulls---, have you ever thought maybe people just want to help the forests and wildlife and it's true? -
To be clear: this topic has been very muddled and confused by jargon. I maintain that was is correct is that its not possible to lose that much forest per seconds.
If you want to take it from there be my guest. -
The maths third post down
1 Square Mile = 258.998811 Hectares so that makes sense imo -
1 sqaure mile is eqaul to 258.99 hectares. Are you saying we lose that much forest every two seconds?
-
I mean it's 1 hectare every 2 seconds. And 258 go into a square mile so its not that much don't you think?
-
Yep, the 2 seconds things is true after all. I thought it seemed unlikely they could get away with a massive lie like that.
