Thread Topic: Do men or do women have it better?

First, I'll list the pros and cons of both men and women in general life.
Men:
- are usually more physically stronger
- due to this, are treated with less manners in society/are in more of a "every person for themselves" situation
- do not have their menstrual cycle
- but studies show that sexual activity is more pleasurable for women
- have more power in certain countries, like in the middle east
- but studies show that men are less likely to be smarter and more mature than women
- do not wear makeup (most of the time), and there are less options to fix it than women
- some studies show that they are more likely to become a doctor or have a successful job as such
Women:
- are treated with absolute respect in a normal society ("ladies go first" and stuff like that)
- are usually less physically stronger
- appear to have a menstrual cycle
- but sexual activity is more enjoyable for them
- women are shown to be more likely to be smarter and more mature than men
- have less power in certain countries
- are more open to surgical procedures to correct physical disadvantages
- a lot of women use makeup every single day and some are judged for doing so
Now debate. -
I think men generally have it a little bit better.

I'd 'ave to agree with tongue. I'm not going to write a fully-fledged debate of 7 paragraphs to explain my reasoning, thus I might sound ignorant, but women seem to have more problems than men, both externally and internally.

Well, by the gentlemen or when growing up as a young man, your parents and teachers teach you to be respectful to young ladies and if you haven't changed you're still respectful. Sorta like that.

Fact represent time: the things studies show are more often then not utter bulls---. The organizations of scientists which are generally considered expert and impartial in their fields may very well do good work, but the journalism which surounds their work misrepresents their data, and the culture of the people hearing the journalism misunerstands the implications of research.
In other words studies suggest s---.
Controversy exists in the data. subjectivity exists in the definitions, and what it comes down to is if one human has it better then another, it is because they ARE better.
If you're happier then your neighbor, its not because your richer, its not because your poor. Its not because your white, or mexican or masculine or feminine or straight, or mainstream or counterculture. It is because you have more emotional maturity then the next person.
