Gay marriage to be exact. Marriage is marriage. Just because your religion says it isn't right, doesn't mean you should bring it into the fucking laws of the U.S. Oh, your religion says that two people who love eachother can't get married? Well my religion says that I can physically hurt lawmakers who are idiots. Right to marriage is covered under our 9th amendment in the Bill of Rights and you can't take that away from us. Screw you America. There is no longer liberty and justice for all. You've failed. I'm so disappointed of how our country is right now.

A church does weddings, not marriages. So I don't know how religion got int there.

Constitutionally speaking, marraige is actually a state issue. I think gay marraige is best left up to the states, and I think eventually every state will legalize it, especially when the Republican Party stops dragging its feet on the issue. The national debate is certainly in favor of gay marraige, there isn't the same "ick" factor anymore in our society when it comes to homosexuality.

What tongue said. I will add that I don't believe churches should be forced to perform a gay marriage if it is against their beliefs. That's infringing on their rights then. But in a government and general fashion, it should be legal.
