  Taxes are fine so long as we're getting something good out of it. Unfortunately what we're getting is ridiculous military spending and corporate welfare(the bailout funds do eventually have to be paid back, but that doesn't make it any less atrocious.)

  I say just get rid of capitalism, raise the levels to 100% and spread the wealth equally.

  I don't like the idea of the government owning all wealth and spreading it out evenly. I think people have a right to economic prosperity, though I do believe in a progressive tax system where the rich pay more than the lower and middle class to pay for social programs to benefit the lower and middle classes.

  The problem with the bailout is that the government has essentially sent a message to Wall Street that they can do whatever they want and the government will bail them. The biggest problem, though, is that we've kept the immoral scumbags who caused the financial meltdown in power. The government should've nationalized failing banks instead of subsidizing them, and the basterds in charge of those banks should've been fired and put on trial for fraud.
