"I don't want you to die..." he said as a small tear trickled out again.

"I won't die. I can't die," Giovanni tried to say reassuringly, hating to see him cry like this.

Ivan was silent and just stared at the floor.

He reached up slowly to kiss him.

Ivan looked into Giovanni's eyes. He looked so sad.

"Nothing's going to happen.." he whispered.

"Nothing is written in stone..." Ivan said with sorrow.

Again, that little confused face from him.

Ivan sighed softly. "I'm sorry. For crying."

"I do it a lot. It's okay."

"Okay."

He kissed him again.

Ivan kissed back, touching Giovanni's cheek softly.

He looked up at Ivan, seeming almost blank.
