Giovanni broke down quickly after the doctor said that. "I don't want to die," he sobbed helplessly.

Ivan held him tightly in his arms, stroking his hair and kissing his face. "You won't die, I promise."

Giovanni just nodded, still weeping uncontrollably.

Ivan tried to wipe the years away.
Dr. Ludwig nodded. "We will start the treatments and testing tomorrow. You two may go home for now. Rest a bit." -
Gio clung to Ivan, somewhat happy to have a day before the testings. It calmed him by only a bit.

Ivan nodded. "Thank you, doctor." he then hugged Giovanni close again. "C'mon, let's go home."

He sniffed lightly, nodding and holding his hand.

Ivan walked with him to the car.

Giovanni was very silent during the walk.

Ivan didn't know what to say or do, but he was completely sad.

"I don't want to die, Ivan," he creaked again.

"I know, Gio, and you won't die. I'll do everything in my power to make sure you keep living."

"Okay," Gio nodded, tearing up. "I just don't want to leave you.."

"You wouldn't leave me. If you died, I'd be right behind you."

He looked confused. "What do you mean..?"
