Tray gave a cry of pain into Valentino's chest.

Valentino was surprised, then looked back to glare at the kid. She let go of the tail.

"Oww..." Tray said softly.

Valentino held Tray's tail gently and rubbed it soothingly.

Small tears were at the corners of Tray's eyes, and he looked up at Valentino.

With his free hand, he wiped the corners of his eyes. "I'm sorry," he whispered.

Tray nodded. That hurt really bad. Like getting kicked in the balls.

He held him closely and kept rubbing his tail, in attempts to soothe him. -

Tray sighed shakily, resting his head on Valentino's chest again. -
"Don't worry, it'll be okay," he muttered softly.

"Okay." tray whispered.

He smiled at him. "Good."

Tray nodded.

The subway pulled over and people began to get off. Valentino led them off.

Tray walked by his side.
