Connor looked down at Shiloh. "I'm sorry, my love." he whispered, getting out of bed slowly, hoping not to wake Shiloh. He needed to lead the darkness away from his love.

Shiloh's whimpered louder, reaching out when he felt the other not at his side. "N-no....C...Connor.....!"

Conor frowned. He kissed Shiloh's forehead gently. "It'll be okay. I'll come back for you. Just sleep. Please."

The prince tried to calm down, when he was kissed it helped a bit. He continued to sleep, though feared where and how Conner was.

Connor stood up and got dressed quickly. He looked around at the shadows in the corners. "Leave Shiloh alone and follow me," he said, then disappeared into time.

Shiloh hugged the pillow, trying to fool his brain and sleep.

Connor traveled back as far as the discovery of fire. He bounced around from one time to the other, leading the shadows in circles. And it was draining him.

Shiloh finally woke up again, looking to see the darkness in the corners still there. "He must have gone into them..." The prince got up worriedly, nearing the portal-like darkness.

Connor couldn't travel anymore. He was in India, during the time of some Ancient war. His side was burning with pain, and a bullet had grazed his arm in an earlier time.he collapsed into a shadowed tree and suddenly fell into Shiloh's room.

"Connor...!" Shiloh quickly rushed to his side, seeing the new wound.

Connor groaned in pain. He tried to push himself up into a sitting position, but everything hurt too much.

Bump.

Shiloh came close and did everything not to touch where he was injured, trying to bring him back to the bed. "Oh God, oh God.. Connor what happened?"

"I was trying....to take the shadows away..."Connor just laid there. "It hurts. It hurts so much.."

"Connor..." Shiloh felt his eyes water, not even sure what to do. He leaned down, kissing his forehead and cheek, trying to find a way to sooth him. "I'm so sorry. I should have never complained about them. I s-should have made you stay w-with me..."
