Minata: I put Masa's arm back down on the bed. "Stay still." I tell her.
Doctor: "She's gonna need stiches. And a neck brace." -
Minata: "Okay, just, help her."
Masa: Everything souds like mumbles.
Doctor: I leave to go get tools. -
Minata: I hold Masa's hand.
Masa: Someone holds onto my hand. I can't move my head.
Docotor: I come back in and start putting the stiches in. -
Masa: Somebody is poking my head, but I can't move so I don't do anything about it.
Doctor: I finish putting in the stiches. 17. -
Doctor: I lift her up a bit, and put the brace around her neck. "You can take her to her room now. But be very careful- don't move her head to much."
Minata: "Okay," I answer, then pick her up and carry her upstairs. -

Minata: Pacifica came in. "I don't think she can hear us..." I say to Pacifica. "I've tried to get Masa to talk to me, but she dosn't really react."
Masa: My eyes are open, and I can sit up. I see that Pacifica and Brayden are in the room now, but I can't hear anything. -
Masa: I see that Minata has the flute in his pocket. "C-can I have it?" I ask. I can't even hear myself talk.
Minata: I nod, and hand it to her. -
Masa: I start to play the hanging tree.

Masa: I don't notice Pacifica singing, so I keep playing and lean against the wall.
Minata: I sit down on one of the chairs and put my head in my hands, not wanting Msa to see the tears in my eyes. -
Masa: I stop playing when I see Minata sitting on the chair. I go over and sit next to him, and put my arm around him. "It's okay. I'm okay." I tell him.

Minata: I look at her. "It's not okay," I whisper, "You can't hear me. It's not okay."
Masa: I stare at him, wishing I could answer, but I don't even know what he said. -

Minata: "This is all my fault. I shoulda kept an eyes on ya." I say, and put Masa on my lap, holding her tight.
Masa: "I'm okay, I'm okay." I don't know what he's saying, so I just keep repeating that. -
Minata: "You're not okay!" I set her back down her bed, then walked out of the room.
Masa: I saw that he was yelling, and it kind of scared me. I curled up on my bed and played on my flute again, tears welling in my eyes.
