He fiddled with his thumbs, looking down. "It was... okay. I mean, I was okay with it. My mom wasn't though..."
-
She could tell he wasn't telling her something. She cocked her head to the side, as in asking 'what else?' "What wasn't your mother okay with...?"
-
"I have leukemia." He said it as if there was nothing to it, just another fact people would say on a daily basis. Christopher remained silent, waiting for her response.
-
Her eyes widened. Not believing what she was hearing. "W-what...?" She asked, hoping she heard wrong.
-
"I have leukemia. The doctors tested my blood. But don't worry." He gave her a small smile. "God will help me through."
-
She tried hard not to cry. 'Don't show weakness.' She reminded herself. "O-Okay.." She said, blinking a lot.
-
"Don't be sad... Please don't be sad..." Christopher reached out and hugged his dearest friend.
-
She hugged him back. "I just don't want to lose you." She whispered. "You're my only friend."
-
"You'll never lose me," he whispered, pulling back a bit. "I'll always be right in here." He tapped the spot in the center of his chest, his heart.
-
She couldn't help but smile a bit.
-
(Time skip?)
Chris beamed back at her, his bright blue eyes shimmering with hope. "You'll always be my best friend, Jenny. Always." -
(Okie. Wait...how old were they here again, I forget. xD And I don't know what to put for the time skip. :P)
Jenifer walked to her Chris's house, bringing him some work from school, since he couldn't go. -
her friend Chris's*
-
(They were around 6-7. Now they're around 16. :P)
The doorbell sounded sharply through the house. "I'll get it," his mother called, exiting the kitchen to open it.
"Hello, Jenifer," she smiled at his son's friend. "Christopher's up in his room." She opened the door wider and ushered her inside. -
(Oh yeah. xD)
Jenifer smiled at his mother, she was always nice to her. Unlike her mother.
"Thank you." She said, walking up the Chris's room and knocking on the door.
