I smiled. "Thanks. I always thought this town was boring, but now that you're here, it's the best place on earth."

I blushed, and grinned. I moved closer to him, until we were face to face. I kissed him sweetly.

I had already set down the soda and apple so I wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her closer.

I continued to kiss him, putting my hands around his neck.

I heard a noise but ignored it. It kinda sounded like a door opening.

I heard a sound, but kissing him was more important.

I was still kissing her when I heard a gasp. "Jacob!" I pulled away from Pandora and looked at..... my mother!

I spun around, seeing his mother. My eyes widened, and I felt my face get warm.

"Mom? I thought you were in Idaho." I realized too late those were a bad choice of words. "Is this what you do when I'm gone?! Do I have to get you another sitter, Jacob?!"

I bit my lip, and looked at my hands.

"Mom, you don't understand." she crossed her arms over her chest. "Oh, really? Then enlighten me." I sighed. "Pandora is new to school and everybody was being mean to her. I brought her to lunch and then I showed her the clearing." When I mentioned the clearing, my mothers eyes widened. "Oh, I see. Sorry for overreacting. Nice to meet you, Pandora."

"Nice to meet you too..." I said, looking up, and taking out my hand for her to shake.

My mother shaked her hand and smiled. "Sorry for barging in. Well, I have paperwork to do, so I must depart for now." She walked out of the kitchen and went to her office.

I smiled, and as soon as she left, turned around to Jake.
