"Well, it doesn't taste like this is poisoned," I said as I took a bite of my chicken wrap.

"That's good," he said, smiling faintly.

I smiled a little and took another sip of the smoothie.

He ate a few of his french fries.

This is awkward, I thought.

Where exactly would they go once they got to Maine. "So... what else do you know about Peterstown?"

"Oh, one of my mom's friends sister-in-law's cousins twin used to live there but he died of a heart attack. His funeral was there, but I didn't go."

"Oh." He ate another fry, not sure whether to say sorry or not.

"I didn't know him at all. When my mother told me, I was six and I completely zoned out." I laughed.

He smiled a bit.

"That's about all I know about Peterstown."

"I guess we'll find out more when we get there."

"I guess." I smiled and finished my chicken wrap.

He ate the rest of the burger.
