Hello. I'm sorry, I didn't see it. :c
He made his way to the back door and exited the house. He plodded through the grass, still damp with dew. It was a cloudy, overcast day. The cool air was a bit refreshing. -
He continued stirring and accidentally kicked over some rakes. "Kuso...!" He tried to fund a new hiding spot in the small space.

Zane opened the door to the shed just as he heard a small exclamation from the back. He furrowed his brow and flicked on the light switch. Blaming the sound on the wind, he started rummaging around for the gardening gloves, which were nowhere in sight.

He watched from his place, the creature he observed looked like him, but without ears and tail. He tried to inch towards the door but ended up smacking his head on a bench. "Itai!"

"Huh!?" Zane turned quickly to where he heard a small clunk. "Who's there?" he asked, inching closer to the bench. His eyes wide, he scanned the small enclosure.

The blonde kitty sighed and slowly crawled out. "...What are you...? Where are your ears?"

"Wh-wha...?" Zane's mouth gaped open. "What... who...?" He took a breath. "This isn't real. I'm just going crazy. I knew Dad was right. I've been slowly slipping over the edge..." His eyes bulged as he continued to ramble on. He blinked a few times, thinking that the creature would be gone. When he opened his eyes once more it was still there, staring at him. "You're not human."

"I'm mortal. I'm a neko. Are you, what'd you say, human?" Ryou asked, sitting calmly in front of him, tail swaying slowly.

Zane nodded. "I am. Why are you here? Surely you're not native around here..." -
"I came here trying to get away from these horrible monsters that've been taking over my home..." His ears flattened as he continued. "They've been chasing me and I don't know why. When I reached this area with a weird stone ring, kind of like a gate, I somehow ended up in the woods there and came here. Where am I? Can you tell me?"

"You're in Grant, Oregon. In the USA." Zane blinked. "So, these people... monsters... they're out to kill you?" He raised his eyebrows, wondering who the hell would want to kill something as adorable as the neko in front of him.

"I don't know what they want with me. But it's likely to end my existence." He thought about the place the younger said they were in and began questioning it. "What's the USA? And Oregon?"

"This world is divided into different nations. These nations are divided up into subcategories; provinces or states. The nation we're in is the United States of America, or the USA for short. The exact state we're in is Oregon." Zane furrowed his brow as he explained. He'd never been asked to describe such a simple to thing to such an unknowing person... er... creature. He had no idea how to go about explaining things in a manner that the neko would fully grasp. -
"I see. That's similar to where I'm from..." He yawned and stretched out his arms and legs. "I better be on my way then, despite how tired I am. That way I don't cause you any trouble."
