The Overlord had come to a destination supposedly know as Tacoma, Washington. Was the neko he was after nearby? He saw him! But... Where we're his ears and tail? He must've been hiding them to blend in, considering none of the other beings had ears or a tail.
(Why is he following him again?) -
(Something special about him. .3. I've been researching from old shows and stories and junk. He can either be wearing something or have some sort of important ability. What you think? I'm open for any ideas. :3)

(Hmm... Important ability perhaps... What if he were the only one who would have the ability to take the Overlord's power and for that, the Overlord must kill him?)

The Overlord ran over to the neko, looking up at him. "Where'd you go? Why'd you leave?" he asked innocently.
The "neko" turned around. "Huh? What? Who are-"
The Overlord pulled his sword from its sheath and cut the man to shreds without a second thought. That was what he got for threatening the Overlord's power. But the Overlord soon discovered that what he had killed was not the neko he'd been looking for, but a plain human. He sighed, slapping his palm to his forehead. Idiot! -
Ryou's ears twitched lightly in his sleeping state. He was dreaming that the creatures had found him and were taking him away from the country home. After a few minutes of whimpering and continuous stirring, he shot up and ran down the stairs to the human, checking to make sure he's still safe. "Zane..?"

Zane turned towards Ryou's voice and smiled. "Hey there. How was your sleep?" He noticed that the blonde seemed frightened. Poor guy. He must've had a bad dream, he thought.

He planted himself on the floor, sighing with relief. "Arigato, Kami..." He could still feel it. The darkness. As if it were choking him, the same way it felt when he was running from the Overlord and his minions.

Zane moved from the couch to sit beside Ryou. "Are you alright?" He glanced at him, noticing his strangled expression.

"I can feel it. That darkness. It's not as bad as when they were chasing me, but I can still feel the presence of the Overlord. He's far but he's here. To the north. Maybe northwest." The kitty shivered, thinking about what will happen if they were to get caught.
