I've done the same thing to every guy who tried to flirt with me. But that was only cause I lacked trust in most so I thought they were making fun of me
I think that might have been a reason why he acted this way, because maybe people made fun of his voice to the point he no longer trusts people when they're nice about it. -

Don't be, you have no way of knowing, but from my experience, people who act like this is because of prior happenings.
