I sighed and buried my face in his neck, breathing in his scent. He smelled good, under all the blood and sweat. Like AXE and fresh cut grass.
-
I smirked and rested my cheek on the top of Nik's head. This was probably the most peaceful time they got for a long time.
-
I pulled back and pressed my lips t his once again, smiling. Then I heard a moan from downstairs. "We better go down there and keep a watch on them," I said relunctantly, pulling away, but I kept hold of his hand.
-
"Do we have to?" I asked with a whine to my voice, trying to pull Nik back. I didn't want to deal with the stangers.
-
I smiled and leaned against him. "Well, I think we could wait a couple more minutes." I smirked at him. I leaned my head against his chest. "What happened down there, anyway? I heard you say 'hide' then I went completely ballistic and protective and started attacking everyone."
-
"They attacked me and I had to protect you. I was hoping you would just hide out up here." I explained, happy that this illusion of safety could last just a little bit longer.
-
"Well good thing I didn't. I saved your sorry a** down there." I was happy that I saved him. I was worried that if I hadn't he would be dead and Cel and I wouldn't be in a very good situation either.
-
I grinned at Nik. But when I heard a thump downstairs, my face fell.
-
"C'mon! Can't we ever get a break," I said as I took the pistol out of my waistband and hurried down the stairs.
-
I loaded my bow and followed after Nik.
Stupid people, I thought to myself -
I went down the stairs, being quiet as I could. "God, all these people are idiots," I muttered under my breath. Although, I was really the idiot because I had left my sword down there.
-
I readied my bow and followed close behind Nik.
-
I turned the corner and found that one of the people had broken through the wall. There was a destroyed piece of rope in the middle of the floor. "Oh, crap, we need to get that hole covered up, NOW!"
-
I quickly strapped my bow over my shoulders and dragged a heavy couch over the hole in the wall.
"Where's your sword?" I turned to Nik, panicked. I suddenly regretted the extra minutes we had taken upstairs. -
I looked around, but found nothing. "That son of a b****! He took my sword! We need to go back to my house, so I can get my other swords before he steals it all." I jumped out the hole in the wall and started running towards my house.
