  I sat in back of the prosecution. I had been asked to testify and it had taken all of their persuasive words to get me on board.
  
  The bailiff stood up. "All rise. The Superior Court of ___(WHATCITYISTHIS) is now open and in session, Honorable Judge Torrington presiding. All those having due cause hereby act in the name of the law. You may be seated."

  The court goes into session, the judge refreshes everyone of the case. Then opening statements happen, prosecution first. We can skip those. Then the prosecution calls their witnesses. So, for right now, Adolf just sits tight and looks pretty. xD

  "Yes, Your Honor. The state attorney replied. "We would like to call Laci Torrington to the stand."
  
  I bit my lip and stood up, walking over to the char they had set up for witnesses. The bailiff approached me.
  
  "Please raise your right hand. Do you solemnly swear or affirm that the testimony you may give in the cause now pending before this court shall be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?"
