I nodded. "It's not like my father was around much anyway...I'll survive."

(Oh hey, I didn't tell you yet... we had a sub today in music, and she thought I was the teacher of my class. I should've said yes and brought one of my enemies upstairs to get a referral.)
He stared at her for a moment; then pulled her into a hug. -
(Oh yes, that would of been awesome. xD I wish i was there.)
I stiffened for a moment, worried about him feeling my wing bones, but hugged him back, gently. It was nice to have someone in this world. It was nice to know there was still hope for them, humans. -
(Indeed. I wish you had been there, too.)
He was shocked that she didn't yell at him and run away. That's what most people would've done. -

"Thanks." I muttered. -
He smiled a bit. "So, what are you going to do now?"

I shrugged. "I don't know. Stay home? I don't really want anyone to know about this..."

"Too late," he murmured.

I smiled a bit. "I meant the police, news reporters, etc. Don't really want to draw attention to myself..." I whispered.

"Oh." He was about to ask why they would care, but decided against it. "You'll tell your friends, though, right?"

I...don't...really have any...friends." I said quietly, letting my hair fall in front of my face.

"You really are alone, then, huh?"

I smiled weakly. "Yeah." I nodded.
