I saw nothing, so I continued looking forward.

He drifted back to sleep.

I continued driving in silence.

He snored quietly.

I looked around for any buildings where we could stop and rest at.

He muttered something and continued to sleep.

He breathed softly.

I looked at the gas meter. I'll have to stop and get some gas soon...
