I looked at him.

He looked at her, trying to think of something to say.
Meanwhile, the demons were plotting. They weren't going to report to the boss just yet. They wanted to do it on their own. -
I cocked my head to the side.

"You were homeschooled?"

I nodded. "Yeah."

"That's cool. Did you like it?"

I shrugged. "It was alright. Since my dad was never really home, I had to teach myself with the internet."

"That's interesting." He would've given anything to be homeschooled as a kid.

I shrugged. "Sure, I guess."

"You're lucky. Normal school kids are evil..." He laughed a little.

I raised my eyebrows. "Really?" I asked, looking at him again.

He nodded. "Or, well, as evil as children ages five to thirteen can get..."

I smiled a bit. "How evil is that?"
